I've just been thinking that some anime art is so stylized as to be devoid of emotion. Think about it. Also, I'm really tired of seeing artistic flair valued over composition. I know I have problems with composition myself, but still - better artists than me shouldn't forget that there is more to art than pin-ups of beautiful people in beautiful costumes.

Where's my money?

Where's my money? Oh, here's my money!! I just got my check from AnimeNEXT! It's an embarrassingly small amount, but it's my first check for artwork EVER. I've been working on a business idea for next time (although I'll be away next year) so maybe I'll be able to make some more change soon. Maybe enough to buy a textbook. Ah, I may sound pessimistic, but this IS exciting!!
